Welcome to the whitewater community! You’ve opened the door to a worldwide network of friends you haven’t met yet, and infinite options to explore rivers and enjoy the unique perspective and experiences that only whitewater can give. You’ve earned your passport to the Whitewater River World, now get out there and use it!
Here’s a quick list of resources for connecting and continuing your whitewater life!

Everyone, feel free to chime in with anything to add!

The Canoe U FB will stay open, but in order to connect with experienced paddlers, you need to go where they are! Don’t be shy! Post your interest and availability for paddling options. When joining experienced groups, remember to be up front about your abilities and check in whether the group is prepared to provide the support you might need. We’ve ALL been beginners and most are happy to include a beginner or two when the run is right. Remember too, that you can get out with a partner on mild moving water to practice your basic skills, and drill and practice rolling on flat water – any time in your boat will help build your comfort and confidence.
